Canadian carrier Sunwing Airlines in winter season plans to introduce new nonstop route between Montreal and Mexico, with the offering of Montreal – Cozumel service. This route will run from 16DEC16 to 17MAR17, using leased Thomson Airways Boeing 737-800 aircraft. This route will be served on Fridays

WestJet yesterday (24JUL17) announced planned service expansion for its US and International service for winter 2017/18 season. Majority of these service will receive additional frequencies from 29OCT17. Planned increase as follow.
Calgary – Cancun Increase from 14 to 16 weekly
Calgary – Puerto Vallarta Increase from 12 to 14 weekly
Calgary – San Jose/Los Cabos Increase from 7 to 8 weekly
Edmonton – Cancun Increase from 5 to 6 weekly
Regina – Puerto Vallarta Increase from 1 to 2 weekly
Toronto – Cancun Increase from 11 to 15 weekly
Vancouver – Cancun Increase from 6 to 7 weekly
Vancouver – Puerto Vallarta Increase from 7 to 8 weekly

The first 767 freighter will operate on routes linking Toronto to Miami, Quito, Lima, Mexico City and Guadalajara, the first time Air Canada Cargo will serve this destination. As more freighters enter service, additional flights in January of 2022 will further expand the network with the addition of Halifax and St. John’s to Madrid and Frankfurt.
