Volaris is the leading ultra low-cost carrier in Mexico, growing from an initial fleet of four aircraft in 2006 to a fleet of 44 aircraft today. The airline offers flights to 33 domestic destinations and 12 United States cities.
“Volaris has come a long way in a short time, and these lease agreements with BOC Aviation shows how much further we want to go to expand our network and serve the growing numbers of customers,’’ said Fernando Suarez, Chief Financial Officer of Volaris. “We are pleased to get the support we need from a leading global aircraft lessor to underpin our network expansion.”
“Volaris represents a new customer for BOC Aviation and the first transaction completed for A320 aircraft in Mexico,” said Steven Townend, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer of BOC Aviation. “We look forward to expanding our new relationship.”
