Aeroméxico acuerda con Virgin volar en código compartido

Noticias sobre el acuerdo de códigos compartidos entre Aeroméxico y Virgin Atlantic:

Aeroméxico y Virgin Atlantic concretaron un nuevo acuerdo de código compartido a través del cual los usuarios de ambas aerolíneas podrán disfrutar de conexiones a diversos destinos en Reino Unido, Estados Unidos y México.

Los clientes de Aeroméxico que utilicen este código compartido ahora podrán conectar sin problemas a través de cuatro aeropuertos de Estados Unidos: Nueva York (JFK), Las Vegas, Los Ángeles y Orlando.

La variedad de nuevas combinaciones de rutas incluye: Londres Heathrow a la Ciudad de México, directo con Aeroméxico. Desde la Ciudad de México a toda la red nacional de Aeroméxico y Londres Heathrow a Los Ángeles o Atlanta con Virgin Atlantic, con conexiones hacia León, Guadalajara y Monterrey.

El nuevo acuerdo entre Aeroméxico y Virgin complementará las conexiones existentes que se ofrecen a través de Delta, brindando aún más opciones y flexibilidad.

Los clientes que viajen a través de este código compartido conectarán con ambas aerolíneas obteniendo una sola referencia de reserva.

Anko van der Werff, director ejecutivo de Ingresos de Aeroméxico, dijo que este acuerdo refleja claramente su misión por seguir esforzándose para ofrecer a sus pasajeros una mejor conectividad con los mejores socios. “Estamos seguros de que esta alianza fortalecerá no solo nuestra red, sino que también impulsará los lazos culturales, comerciales y turísticos entre México y Reino Unido”.

En tanto Shai Weiss, director comercial de Virgin Atlantic, dijo estar encantado en agregar a Aeroméxico a su creciente cartera, ya que esta nueva asociación, complementa las conexiones existentes que su socio Delta ofrece y proporciona aún más destinos en México para su clientes. Asimismo destacó que los viajeros experimentarán la facilidad y conveniencia de reservar a través de un código compartido.

“Aeroméxico continúa trabajando para crear alianzas comerciales con las aerolíneas más reconocidas a nivel mundial, con el objetivo de ampliar sus conexiones aéreas y llevar a sus clientes a los destinos internacionales más importantes”, finalizó Van der Werff.

Así como Aeroméxico implantó un acuerdo de códigos compartidos con Virgin Atlantic a fines de 2018, ahora llegó a un acuerdo con Virgin Australia. De acuerdo con el texto de la solicitud ante el DOT:

AeroMexico and Virgin Australia recently concluded a reciprocal codesharing agreement to include certain traffic travelling between Australia and Mexico via points in the US. The initial routings to be operated are Mexico City-Los Angeles-Sydney/Brisbane/Melbourne, Australia, with the US-Mexico services operated by AeroMexico and the US-Australia services operated by Virgin Australia.

AeroMexico requests a statement of authorization to display Virgin Australia’s VA* designator code on AeroMexico-operated flights between Mexico and the United States, where passengers will connect to Virgin Australia flights. This authorization will permit Virgin Australia to market transportation between Australia, on the one hand, and Mexico, on the other. Virgin Australia does not intend to market this codeshare service to passengers traveling solely between Mexico and the United States.

Virgin Australia requests a statement of authorization to display AeroMexico’s AM* designator code on Virgin Australia-operated flights between points in Australia, on the one hand, and the United States, where passengers will connect to AeroMexico flights, on the other. This authorization will permit AeroMexico to market transportation between Mexico and Australia. AeroMexico does not intend to market this codeshare service to passengers traveling solely between Australia and the United States.
