The procedures stated that the ENGINE SHUTDOWN IN FLIGHT procedure in the basic AFM should be performed.
Section IV of AFM Supplement, "Aeronca Thrust Reversers," contained the "Abnormal Procedures" for an inadvertent thrust reverser deployment in flight. Those procedures also specify that, if the UNLOCK or DEPLOY lights do not go out, the ENGINE SHUTDOWN IN FLIGHT procedure should be performed, followed by the SINGLE-ENGINE LANDING procedure from the basic AFM.
