Cascade Aerospace wins significant C-130K contract with the Mexican Air Force
Cascade Aerospace has signed a contract with the Canadian Commercial Corporation to undertake modernization and sustainment activities on two Mexican Air Force C-130K Hercules aircraft.

Cascade Aerospace has acquired its first international military C-130 customer with the successful signing of a contract with the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) to undertake modernization and sustainment activities on two Mexican Air Force C-130K Hercules aircraft. This contract was established under the auspices of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Canadian and Mexican governments.
Cascade’s program is comprised of:
-A comprehensive Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) program including enhanced sustainment activity
-An upgrade to the avionics system including the installation and integration of advanced Rockwell Collins avionics suite, digital fuel quantity indication and engine instrument display systems
-Incorporation of the short pod Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) modification,
Cascade will also provide operational and technical training for Mexican Air Force personnel at the company’s facility and headquarters in Abbotsford, B.C.
“The foundational skills and knowledge developed through our C-130 fleet management program for Canada has given us the capability to leverage our services into the international market,” says Ben Boehm, Cascade’s executive vice president and chief operating officer. “Our program management, engineering and aircraft modification skills will enable us to enhance the operational capability of the aircraft, to meet the varied needs of the Mexican Air Force. Working in conjunction with Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC), we are able to take advantage of the government to government contracting model, which de-risks the program for all parties. We are looking forward to providing a quality product to Mexico, and to being their long term service support provider of choice.”
