The pilot of a Cessna 210 Centurion departing from Propriano, South Corsica, with destination Cannes LFMD, declared an emergency to the ATC this early afternoon, having lost engine, and stated that he was going to alight on sea, in the golfe of Porto. Sea rescue operations were launched, wiht no success. Wind at the time was blowing at 20 kt+, leaving little hope for surviving a crash sealanding. There were six souls aboard.
